His journey also included working as a butcher’s assistant in a local shoe factory before joining the Air Force. He also served in the Air Force for six years, instilling discipline and dedication.

His commitment to working closely with individuals led them to earn a Doctorate of Ministry, offering pastoral care to individuals, couples, and families. His continued desire to provide the best to all his clients lead him to return to graduate school and complete an additional Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. His diverse background enables him to connect with people from all walks of life, fostering inclusivity and understanding.
Dr. Rick’s approach to relationship counseling stands out by emphasizing the significance of our underlying emotions and how they drive us to action in love, excitement, comfort, and the protection of treasured connections.
He believes that when relationships become burdened by pain, mistrust, anxiety, and apathy, it is the time to intervene and reignite the initial spark that brought couples together. His non-judgmental guidance aims to bridge the gap, creating a relaxed and safe environment where couples can rebuild trust and foster open communication.
His professional work in marriage therapy revolves around recognizing that every client’s circumstances are different and it is always appropriate to seek positive change. He understands that each person faces unique struggles but shares the universal aspirations of dreaming, setting goals, seeking happiness, and striving for success. By closely collaborating with his clients, he places his client’s issues and concerns at the forefront, working together to restore emotional freedom and happiness in their lives.
He feels immensely blessed and honored when individuals trust them to navigate the challenges that hinder their personal growth. He understands that perspectives and beliefs can become clouded by negativity and irrationality, making it difficult for individuals to gain clarity on their problems. Acting as a compassionate guide, he provides support to help individuals step back from their situations and gain a broader perspective. His commitment lies in empowering individuals, allowing them to overcome obstacles and pursue personal fulfillment on their transformative journey.
